Limerick Scout County are delighted to share the news with you that Curraghchase Scout Centre is currently undergoing renovation works and will be reopened for late Summer 2026! Now Accepting Enquiries for Autumn 2026
Curraghchase Scout Centre closed in 2020 due to health and safety issues and a number of scouters with vision and drive saw an opportunity to seek out funding to restore and renovate the house to be used by Scouts, Guides and others such as youth and educational organisations once again.
The County team were fortunate to secure funding from both JP McManus Benevolent Fund and the LEADER Rural Development Programme and after securing the tender, PBC Building & Maintenance Contractors Limerick Ltd, have commenced works on the project with completion expected in mid summer.
We are incredibly grateful to our funding partners and to Scouting Ireland who have given immeasurable support to us in our journey to re-open the Scout House in Curraghchase.
We are now taking enquiries for bookings for our 25 bed scout centre from mid August onwards, please contact us using our website and we will be delighted to get back to you.
